Conclusion: Lighting is very Important. Really bring up the soul and life in the house. So full of spirit now. Must really praise my ID for her lighting arrangement. Also my Dear dear in her wonderful taste for the kitchen white lights as well as the aluminium casing bedroom lights.

PS: did you all notice that the MBR lights are the same as the kitchen except the color.. never right.. hee hee.. My idea!!! *SMUG*

Painting works -DONE!!

Starting painting on Saturday, and oh boy do they work fast... imagine my main contractor telling his coolies, "You all better paint nicely and paint faster ah! Otherwise cannot go back Malaysia for Chinese New Year!! " Hee Hee..

Did not have a thorough inspection, but looks like quite a job well done... Nevertheless I am sure they will touch up for us should we see any defects later :)

Sofa and dining set settled

With my dear dear's hard work searching for our sofa at furniture mall on Saturday, We found what we wanted yesterday. Both dining set and sofa WITH MATCHING SUEDE COVERS!! Can you beat that!! hahaha.. *~~HaPPy~~*

I absolutely love the dining set (expandable to 1.5m) which fit our designers stringent order of no bigger than 1.2m in length.. we had the best of both worlds having this expandable table. what more the sales person offer to give us the same suede cover for both the dining chairs and our w0nderful sofa.. Sofa and dining set also can be delivered before Chinese New Year!!
(Dear, like what I always say, everything is going smoothly for us)

However, dear dear's highlight of the furniture shopping was neither the dining set nor the sofa, Nor the matching covers... It was a Relax couch (designer style) that she fell in love with.. >_<

Well, we paiseh to take picture at the furniture shop.. so sorry no pictures today... come 15 Feb.. all in liao... then post some pic.. until then..

Our Poh Joo and lights delivery

Today our Poh Joo delivery was very smooth... got so minor flaws in the goods, the delivery man offer to change for me immediately!! No question asked!! FANTASTIC!
What is even better is that they came back with the items with 2 hours of the first delivery, thats what I call SERVICE!! Thumbs up to POH JOO!!

Micro Suede...

Nice to Feel but....

Downside:
1. Only feel nice in aircon room - as suede is waterproof, it is not absorbant and so it will feel as warm as leather when u sit on it for long without aircon. Suede is 100% polyster.

2. Not cooling - see above

3. Thou waterproof but not stainproof - thou u can just use a cloth to wipe off any spills, but no guarantee tat there will not be stain.

4. High maintenance - u can't machine wash cos it will shrink. Need to dry clean..Costly.

Recommended to buy cotton based cotton.....dunno how true...hmmm

15 days into the renovation. Everything smooth so far. *Blessed* Really loved the plastering work. Think it is money well spent.... would have really hated the walls if never do plastering. Meeting Angeline tomorrow for the final confirmation of the colour scheme and laminar floor type and colour. SO EXCITING... :)
