WC, Sink, taps, and bathroom accessories

Today we went to Poh Joo (the new branch at 391 jalan Besar) to settle all the we need. As we have already visited Sim Siang Choon, Hoe Kee, Poh Joo and Gr Link, we sort of know what we want and the kind of pricing for them, hence today was super efficient, got all the things that we want at Poh Joo within 1.5 hours. :)

Today's "harvest" includes:

  1. Toilet bowls - finally got the same one as Steven (renotalk friend). Carlyle (Canada brand, made in China lah) haha... from American standard to Verlin to Baron and then Sims... Finally still take back this one..haha.. fated. $150 x 2 = $300
  2. MBR sink - took the Frosted glass bowl. Nothing too unusually. It was either this or round porcelain semi-recess bowl. Nice. The tap is chrome and squarish looking... dear calls it the robot tap because of the red and blue dot (water indicator) looking like the eyes and the handle looking like its nose. Will post a pic of my robot tap when it is delivered. $75(sink) + $15(stopper) +$15(bottom ring) + $105(tap)
  3. CBR sink - this one is from Carlyle also. Cheap and nice. at first wanted to get a smaller "robot" tap to match the one in the MBR. Then again it din seem to match the sink and hence we took the one that they used to match on the display. si mei de loh.... hee hee $65+$8(stopper)+$40(tap)
  4. Water heater - took the famous 707 compact. euff said hor.. ($170 x2)
  5. Kitchen sink - we went there with a rough idea of what we wanted. 2 bowl with maybe a small drainer. Then the sales lady recommended us her best seller, the Morning sink. The design was simple. But I really like it about it was it hidden drainer. Normally sink has a drain catch that looks like an inverted metal cap. But this one was so unique, after you pull up the drain catch, there is another container inside for the waste. Hence the sink will never be stuck with food particles. Good design! No wonder it is her best seller. $250 + $60

Here comes the best part, the rest of the thing were purchased without first knowing we needed them...

  • Toilet hose - what my brother call a mat-yo-yo toilet. It is for washing bottom after going to toilet. Seems that recent trend is that not only Malays are doing it, with all the built in gagets from japan to wash the ass. My Dad actually recommend having this, but not washing the bottom but for washing the toilet bowl, haha... either way, good to have one handy.. $38 each
  • Stainless steel hose for water heater- this one new design. now out of fashion to have piping into the water heater liao. From the water control (aka tap), a stainless steel hose is used to connect to the water heat. ya lah, I agree it is nicer. Also will not damage my beautiful toilet wall tiles.. :P $6.50 each
  • Pan collar for toilet bowl - learn about this last time we visited poh joo. $5 each
  • Towel rack - those that look like hotel one.. so nice.. my dear really got taste.. but a bit pricy.. :p $45
  • Toilet paper holder - simple holder $18 x2
  • Frosted glass shelves for MBR (corner mounted) $16x2 = $32

Got Free Chopping board worth $25 after bargaining..hee hee..

Total damage for the day $1521...

PS: bought 4D on the total cost (1521) haha.. hope Singapore Pool can sponsor my purchases today.. :P
